PREPAIRING TO SAIL
PREPARING TO SAIL ALL OPERATIONS ARE NECESSARY PRIOR TO HOISTING THE SAILS.
YOU DO IT THIS IN THE SHELTER OF THE PORT. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO DO A MINIMUM OF ACTION ON THE WATER ITSELF.
Actions:
- Remove the sailcover.
- Loosen the mainsheet and boomvang.
- Tighten the toppinglift slightly.
- Remove boom cradle.
- Pull mainsheet tight in the clamp. (safety!)
- Attach halyard to the head angle of the mainsail. (note: on the port side of toppinglift)
- leave only one sail strap with a slip stitch.
- Top sled already in the mast rail. (only with little crosswind)
- Remove sail strap jib/ free furling line.
